Cream – Silva Silk Noil – 1/2 yard
Nwah-le? Noy-el? However you pronounce it, it's impossible to resist. The Silva silk noil is buttery soft, with a lustrous matte texture & nubs galore. Silk noil is the hardest-wearing of the siks, and hand-washable too (although suds at your own risk, friends) – easy to sew with & with a light, crisp drape, it's perfect for pretty much any pattern (show me a garment that doesn't look great in a noil!).
Named after Marina Silva, the brilliant Brazilian environmentalist currently running for office. While she was a senator, she rallied hard for sustainable development in the Amazon region – and deforestation decreased by 59%.
🌱Sustainability: An incredibly durable & easy-care fabric, silk noil (also known as raw silk) is actually made from the leftovers of the silk spinning process, making it ecofriendly (no net new materials needed!) & supportive of a circular waste economy.
