Navy – Brushed Back Scuba Knit – 1/2 yard

Had to dive deep to find this scuba knit (see what I did there?) but it was so worth it – scuba (a type of double knit fabric that is similar to ponte) is the perfect pair for a high-waisted pencil skirt or structured dress, and this particular knit is super high-quality. Smooth on one side and snuggly & cozy on the other, it’ll be the perfect partner for all your winter sewing plans.

Sustainability: Deadstock is high-quality fabric that went unused by the mill or designer who ordered it – be it a big-name fashion brand, fabric mill or film & TV set. (Kind of like browsing the fashion industry's fabric stash.) Buying deadstock supports a circular textile economy, avoids net new production of acrylic fibres & diverts high-quality textiles away from landfills. Pretty cool!

  • Colour: Navy
  • Tone: Neutral
  • Stretch percentage: 45% widthwise, 30% lengthwise with a good amount of recovery
  • Fabric Content: 94% polyester, 6% lycra
  • Opacity: Opaque
  • Weight: Medium weight with a heavy drape
  • Width: 56”
  • Source: Deadstock

Care: Wash on warm, tumble dry & iron on low (preferably on the wrong side of the garment). Repeated machine drying will wear down the Lycra over time, so line dry occasionally to give it a break! You may want to turn garments inside out  to prevent snags.
